The earthy-aromatic smelling vetiver grass belongs to the large family of sweet grasses. In India, it is often smoked, e.g. during consecration ceremonies (puja) and to strengthen the spirit in order to better master life. Vetiver is said to increase alertness and clarify the ability to perceive.
Its soft-sweet scent has a grounding, balancing and relaxing effect.
