Origin and properties of the ingredients:
Sonett detergent contains organic soap as the main active ingredient, which is made from various vegetable oils (organic rapeseed oil, organic sunflower oil, organic coconut oil and organic palm oil) by boiling with lye. As a washing-active substance, organic soap uniquely combines all the dirt-wetting, dirt-dissolving and dirt-carrying properties necessary for the washing process. Sugar surfactant: Sugar, starch and coconut fat are the raw materials for the sugar surfactant used. It supports the soap in its fat dissolving power and has the effect that in hard water the lime soap that forms and the dirt are kept finely distributed in suspension. The third active ingredient is organic panamarind. The bark of the South American tree (Quillaja saponaria) is extracted in water to produce a highly effective and colour-saving anti-stain agent that develops its cleaning power even at low temperatures. Soda is produced from the reaction of lime with common salt. Silicates are formed by the fusion of quartz sand and soda. Soda and silicates both strengthen the suds through their alkalinity and promote the removal of greasy substances in particular. Zeolite and citrate, the salt of citric acid, both bind the lime in the water and prevent deposits on the machine and textiles. Zeolite is made from the easily accessible raw materials water glass and sodium aluminate. It works on the principle of an ion exchanger to trap the
calcium and magnesium ions that form water hardness Calcium and magnesium ions and thus prepares soft water for washing. Citrate, obtained by fermenting sugar-containing by-products such as molasses, binds limescale, especially at low temperatures.

Product feature:

A highly concentrated powder detergent for everything coloured and fine. With organic panamarind extract, which is famous for its effective stain dissolving power. Without lime binding agents from petroleum chemistry such as polyaspartic acid, exclusively with the natural salt of citric acid. For all water hardnesses, no separate softener necessary.

Ecology:
Biodegradation:
Soap made from vegetable oils has the special feature compared to all other washing-active substances that it combines with the lime always present in the wastewater to form lime soap immediately after use and thus neutralises itself in its surface-active effect on aquatic life (primary degradation). The lime soap is then rapidly degraded by microorganisms to 100 % carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation).
In the manufacturing process of sugar surfactants, coconut fatty alcohol sulphate and sulphated castor oil, parts are taken from the vegetable raw materials starch, sugar and fat, which, however, remain completely intact in their natural structural fabric. It is therefore relatively easy for microorganisms to completely degrade these surfactants to 100 %. The remaining components of the detergent, soda, sodium bicarbonate, zeolite and silicates, are mineral substances that do not need to be broken down further in nature. Soap, sugar surfactants and citrate are considered readily biodegradable according to OECD.
