Areas of application:
For the re-fatting of heavily used wool and silk garments.
Particularly important for wool wrap trousers, which trap the wetness of the nappy package due to the natural wool grease content and yet are permeable to air. If wool diaper trousers are washed, they lose the naturally present wool grease. The wool cure, used regularly, restores the wool grease necessary for the wool to function properly.

Application / Dosage:
Wool wrap trousers: Dissolve 1-2 tablespoons of wool cure in a little hot water and fill up with cold water to approx. 1 litre. Put the damp woolen wrap trousers into the lukewarm solution, press through several times and leave in for approx. ½-1 hour. Rinse in lukewarm water, squeeze out and leave to dry on a towel.
Strained woollen clothing such as rolled jackets, woollen felt hats, work jumpers, etc.: Dissolve ½ tsp wool cure in a little hot water and proceed as described above.

The wool cure can also be used in the washing machine. To do this, dissolve ½ tsp wool cure in approx. 30-40 ml warm water and place the solution in the fabric softener compartment of the washing machine.

Origin and properties of the ingredients:

Wool fat is extracted from freshly shorn sheep's wool and freed from pesticide and herbicide residues by a special process. In order for the wool fat to be finely dispersed in the water and drawn onto the fibre, it must be emulsified into fine droplets with the help of olive soap and sugar tenside. Sugar, coconut and palm fat are the starting materials for the production of sugar surfactant.
Olive soap is produced when olive oil reacts with lye. Olive oil is the best oil raw material for a mild refatting vegetable soap. Its balanced fatty acid composition, its healing balancing effect on heart and circulation and the remarkable development of the olive tree plant in a 7-year cycle shows the special closeness and relationship of this oil to man.
Cetyl alcohol extracted from palm fat and vegetable thickener support the emulsifying effect of sugar tenside and olive oil soap.

Product feature:
The wool fat used is of pharmacopoeia quality. With the help of the olive oil soap and the sugar tenside, it is possible to use the wool cure without any problems even in hard water.
The olive oil and the essential lavender oil are 100% from controlled organic cultivation.

Ecology
Biodegradation:
The natural substances wool grease and cetyl alcohol, in finely emulsified form, are easily microbiologically degradable.
Soap made from vegetable oils has the salient feature, compared to all other washing-active substances, that it combines immediately after use with the lime always present in wastewater to form lime soap, thereby neutralising itself in its effect on living organisms (primary degradation). The lime soap is then 100% degraded by microorganisms to carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation).
In the production process of sugar tenside, parts are taken from the plant raw materials starch, sugar and fat, which, however, remain fully intact in their chemical structure. Therefore, it is easy for the microorganisms to degrade these surfactants very quickly and completely to 100% in CO2 and H2O.

Soap, sugar surfactant and cetyl alcohol are considered readily biodegradable according to OECD.
