On this CD, the well-known yoga teacher Inga Stendel, together with the singer Janin Devi, presents a beautiful classical Hatha Yoga programme in which the postures are held for longer periods of time and are supported by energetic mantras. It is based on the Rishikesh series, probably the most practised and most taught yoga series. Since detailed descriptions of how to enter the respective postures are omitted, this CD is aimed more at practised yogis who are familiar with the classical postures from the Rishikesh series.
Instead, a lot of attention is paid to the mental and energetic effects of the individual asanas. While holding the posture, Janin chants a corresponding mantra, which supports the effects and with the help of which one can stay longer in the postures

After the initial relaxation to attune the body, the pranayama (breathing exercise) follows to calm the mind. Then it's straight into movement with the sun salutation to warm up the body, which is followed by the asanas (yoga postures) of the Rishikesh series. Shavasana (deep relaxation) concludes the programmes to re-harmonise the energies that have been stirred up.
The programme, like all yoga programmes, develops flexibility and muscle strength, stretches and relaxes the whole body, improves balance and concentration and increases prana (life energy), leading to general well-being. In addition, this CD focuses on building self-confidence & self-esteem!
