This meditation uses the sound of the voice to open and harmonise the chakras or energy centres by directing awareness there. This can lead you into a deep, peaceful, inner stillness, either by making your own sounds with your voice or listening to the music and feeling the sounds within you.
All chakras are located in the depths rather than on the surface of the body.
The following"map"gives the approximate location of the chakras:
1. Base chakra: the sex centre, lower pelvis
2. Sacral chakra: just below the navel
3. Solar plexus chakra: between navel and sternum
4. Heart chakra: in the centre of the chest
5. Throat chakra: in the throat
6. Third eye chakra: between the eyebrows
7. Crown chakra: at the crown
The meditation is done with the special OSHO Chakra Sounds meditation music, it indicates the different phases and supports them energetically.
The meditation instructions are included with the CD in English and it is also available in numerous languages as a digital booklet for download.
