A fascinating and relaxing music with original sounds from Tashi Jong and Dharamsala. It is carried by the deep chants of the monks from Namgyal Monastery, the monastery of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

They repeatedly recite the mantra: OM MUNI MUNI MAHA MUNI YE SWA HA. This is the mantra of Shakyamuni Buddha, the Buddha of the present age. Mantras are used for prayer and meditation. They enlighten and protect and can be spoken in the repeated form, chanted or recited silently.

The motivation for this CD project was to produce mantras in the original text with authentic sounds and original recitations embedded in fascinating, relaxing music. Only through the work and video as well as sound recordings on site in Tashi Jong and in Dharamsala by Tashi Tsogyal was it possible to complete this CD after several years of creative preparation. Together with the producer and composer Curtis McLaw, who has already been able to place several instrumental CDs in the US Billboard charts, the CD was produced and presented in detail in the great Dalai Lama glossy magazine "Encounters with the Dalai Lama".

This project received the blessing of the live spoken mantras of the late, venerable Tokden (Yogi) Amtrin who also celebrated a blessing puja for it. (BBC News wrote about Yogi Amtrin: "His body will be mummified so that reverence can continue to be paid to him". For his part, the 9th Khamtrul Rinpoche, the spiritual head of Tashi Jong, completed the blessing with a written document. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama also kindly bestowed his blessings on the project.

The monks from the Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, the monastery of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, can be heard on the CD with their fascinating deep voices. The voices were recorded in the old moated castle of Wendhausen, where Curtis McLaw's studio is located.
