How compassionate are you with yourself? Try it out and give yourself a smile: "Step in front of the mirror and look into your own eyes. Look deeply into your mirrored eyes and greet yourself kindly, benevolently, lovingly. Smile at yourself for a moment. If the corners of your mouth tighten into a welcoming smile, this is a completely different message to your body and soul than if you stand in front of the mirror without any distinct compassion for yourself and think: 'How do you look again this morning?' Except with an affirming, benevolent, loving look and smile, you greet yourself with your own name."
