Kundalini is one of Osho's most popular and effective meditation techniques. It involves shaking, dancing, sitting and relaxing.
This meditation lasts one hour. It consists of four phases, the first three are accompanied by music, the last one is not. Kundalini acts like an energy shower, gently shaking the day away from you and leaving you refreshed and soft.

First phase: 15 minutes

Be loose and let your whole body shake. Feel the energy rising from your feet. Let go of all tension and become a shaker. Your eyes can be open or shot.

Let the shaking happen by itself - don't do it! Stand still and feel it coming, and if your body starts to shake a little, help it along, but don't do it. Enjoy it, be happy about it, allow it, welcome it, but don't force it.

If you force it, it becomes an exercise, a gymnastics. Then the shaking will be there, but only on the surface, it will not penetrate
it doesn't penetrate you. Inside you remain hard like a stone, like a boulder. You remain the doer, and the body will only obey you. But it is not about the body; it is about you.

When I say shake yourself, I mean shake your hardness, your being, which is like a boulder. Let your whole being shake to its very foundations, so that it becomes fluid and flowing, so that it melts and flows. And when your solidified being begins to flow, your body goes with it. Then there is no one shaking, only the shaking. Then nobody does it, then it just happens. The doer is not there.

Second phase: 15 minutes


Dance as you enjoy it and let the whole body move as it wants to. The eyes can be open or closed.

Third phase: 15 minutes

Close your eyes and be still. Sit down or stand still and watch unconcernedly what is happening inside and outside.

Fourth phase: 15 minutes

Lie down with your eyes closed and be still.
