OM is the mantra of all mantras. It can be experienced deep within oneself as the sound of the universe, the sound of everything that exists. It is more of a conscious cosmic vibration, eternally creating, pulsating like pure life and expanding, than a word. That is why it is untranslatable. It is like the breath of God. Once all words have disappeared and the mind is absolutely still, the divine sound resonates with our innermost being. This sound is both cause and effect of all manifestation, the energy of which all existence is made. Everything is essential, pure divine energy, pulsating at infinitely different frequencies. No one can translate OM, but everyone can experience it deep within their being.
