The scent of tonka bean is delicate, sweet, warm, cheerful and venusian. It has a harmonising and mood-lightening effect. Hardly any other scent spreads such a positive, golden mood even in traces as tonka.
As a whole bean, it is carried as an amulet for luck, money and love. As a wishing bean, it can be buried in the earth in a chosen place, with a wish written on it. For smoking, it is best to grind the beans with a nutmeg grater.
