One mat = one tree
For every YOGISTAR® yoga mat sold, YOGISTAR® plants a tree.
Areas of application:
For re-greasing heavily used wool and silk clothing.
This is particularly important for wool diaper pants, which absorb the moisture from the diaper pack thanks to their natural wool fat content, but are still breathable. When wool diaper pants are washed, they lose the naturally present wool fat. The wool treatment, applied regularly, restores the wool with the wool fat it needs to function properly.
Application / Dosage:
Wool wrap pants: Dissolve 1-2 tablespoons of wool treatment in a little hot water and top up with cold water to about 1 liter. Place the damp wool wrap pants in the lukewarm solution, squeeze several times and leave for about ½-1 hour. Rinse in lukewarm water, squeeze out and leave to dry on a towel.
Worn wool clothing such as fulled jackets, wool felt hats, work sweaters, etc.: Dissolve ½ teaspoon of wool treatment in a little hot water and proceed as described above.
The wool treatment can also be used in the washing machine. To do this, dissolve ½ teaspoon of wool treatment in approx. 30-40 ml of warm water and pour the solution into the fabric softener compartment of the washing machine.

Origin and properties of the ingredients:
Wool fat is extracted from freshly shorn sheep's wool and is freed from pesticide and herbicide residues using a special process. In order for the wool fat to be finely distributed in the water and absorbed into the fiber, it must be emulsified into fine droplets using olive soap and sugar surfactant. Sugar, coconut and palm fat are the raw materials for the production of sugar surfactant.
Olive soap is created by reacting olive oil with lye. Olive oil is the best raw oil for a mild, moisturizing vegetable soap. Its balanced fatty acid composition, its healing, balancing effect on the heart and circulation and the remarkable development of the olive tree plant in a 7-year cycle show the special closeness and relationship of this oil to people.
Cetyl alcohol obtained from palm fat and vegetable thickeners support the emulsifying effect of sugar surfactant and olive oil soap.
Product features:
The wool fat used is of pharmacopoeia quality. With the help of the olive oil soap and the sugar surfactant, the wool treatment can be used without any problems even in hard water.
The olive oil and the essential lavender oil are 100% organically grown.

Biodegradation:
The natural substances wool fat and cetyl alcohol, in finely emulsified form, are easily microbiologically degradable.
Soap made from vegetable oils has the striking feature compared to all other detergents that it combines with the lime that is always present in wastewater immediately after use to form lime soap, thereby neutralizing its effect on living organisms (primary degradation). The lime soap is then 100% broken down by microorganisms into carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation).
In the manufacturing process of sugar surfactants, parts of the plant-based raw materials such as starch, sugar and fat are removed, but their chemical structure remains fully intact. This makes it easy for microorganisms to break down these surfactants very quickly and completely, 100%, into CO2 and H2O.
According to the OECD, soap, sugar surfactant and cetyl alcohol are considered readily biodegradable.
