Ashwagandha - Whitania somnifera - is an evergreen, bush-like plant 0.5-1.5 m high with fleshy roots, simple, green, oval leaves and small, spherical, orange-red berries, whose root is used in Ayurvedic nutrition. The powder from the root, which is finely and gently ground (below 40°C) in Cosmoveda production, comes from our Indian and Sri Lankan fair trade and organic projects.

The amount given here corresponds to traditional Ayurvedic recommendations. ² Polyphenols are bioactive, secondary plant substances that shape the dosha character of plants in the form of colorants, flavorings and tannins.
