By Robert Beer
painting - meditating - being happy
In Tibetan Buddhism, deities represent certain qualities. By engaging with them, people connect with these powerful energies and thereby become stronger themselves. These deities are usually painted on so-called thangkas, scroll paintings, which are only shown at special celebrations in the monasteries.
One of the most famous thangka painters is Robert Beer, who created the 50 drawings for this coloring book - breathtakingly beautiful and rich in detail. Due to his precise knowledge of the exact iconography and his high level of artistry, the individual figures develop an incredible power. This is transferred when you color them carefully, which becomes a real meditation.
At the end of the book, the Buddhist deities are introduced. This overview offers a comprehensive short introduction to the Buddhist gods of Tibet. The meaning of each figure is explained, which energy it embodies and which attributes are assigned to it. Depending on your mood, you can, for example, awaken your compassion, strengthen your healing energy and mindfulness, or simply slow down while coloring.
Robert Beer writes in his foreword: "I wish you creative joy in coloring. May it bring you peace, awareness, and the realization of what you long for."
